Students of the Month: Meet Pearl & Enzo
We love our students! They inspire us, they challenge us, they make us laugh and smile. But most importantly, they are each wonderful, unique individuals getting ready to go out into the world and make amazing things happen! That’s why we are highlighting one of our amazing students every month.
This month we are featuring not one, but TWO of our awesome students: Brother-Sister team, Enzo and Pearl!
Pearl and Enzo are both confident and dedicated young musicians who bring loads of enthusiasm to each lesson. We can always count on Enzo to make us laugh (repeatedly!) and look forward to seeing Pearl's amazing style (no one rocks fuzzy cat ear headbands quite like she does!). They both relish a challenge. And, contrary to their comments below, they have played duets together before, including at our recital this past spring.
Enzo:
What do you enjoy most about playing music?
Moving my fingers around fast.
Do you have a favorite musical memory?
When I finally learned "Russian Sailor Dance."
What is your favorite song to play?
"The Bubble" because it's nice and easy.
What is a song you would like to learn to play?
The Harry Potter Theme.
Do you like playing duets with Pearl?
No - because you have to line up perfectly and play in time with each other.
If you could have a superpower, what would it be?
If I could have any superpower it would be teleportation because I could go anywhere instantly. If I had this I would never go on a long drive again.
What animal would you be, if you were not a human?
If I could be any animal except for a human, I would choose a dog. I would choose this because I would still be in contact with humans and I am not in the wild. If I was a dog I would impress everyone because I wouldn’t have a dog brain.
What do you want to be when you grow up?
A race car driver
Pearl:
What do you enjoy most about playing music?
It is fun to learn new things and show off stuff I've learned.
Do you have a favorite musical memory?
I like to do recitals. My favorite was whatever one was most recent because they get better! I like to do "The Fly's Adventure."
What is your favorite song to play?
My favorite has to be "The Fly's Adventure" because it is one of the only songs that is SUPER fast!
What is a song you would like to learn to play?
I want to learn songs from famous composers that people will recognize.
Do you like playing duets with Enzo?
If it is with Enzo, he will wrestle me at the keyboard, but maybe with other people.
If you could have a superpower, what would it be?
If I could have any superpower I'd have Creation Power so I can create things I need.
What animal would you be, if you were not a human?
If I could be any animal, I'd want to be a bird so I could fly.
What do you want to be when you grow up?
I want o be a swimmer, actress, and YouTuber.
