Student of the Month: Isabel

Isabel’s first violin recital, accompanied by her mom!

We love our students! They inspire us, they challenge us, they make us laugh and smile. But most importantly, they are each wonderful, unique individuals getting ready to go out into the world and make amazing things happen! That’s why we are highlighting one of our amazing students every month.

This month's featured student is Isabel!

At ten years of age, Isabel is already an accomplished multi-instrumentalist! Beginning violin lessons alongside her mom in the fall of 2020, her focus turned to piano two years later. As a string and piano player, Isabel has a strong ear, excellent sight-reading skills, and an admirable passion for music.

Isabel often wows her teachers with something she’s learned by ear, like the Harry Potter theme or a favorite Christmas song, or by improvising her own new melodies. She possesses a strong practice ethic and persistence towards perfection; she’s never afraid to put in the elbow grease to make every note perfect and every phrase beautiful.

Isabel has a delightful sense of humor, and is a budding artist, too. When recently asked why the character she’d drawn (an excellent sketch, by the way!) was wearing an eye patch, Isabel replied: “because I didn’t want to draw the other eye.”
