Students of the Month: Meet Anthony & Gianna
We love our students! They inspire us, they challenge us, they make us laugh and smile. But most importantly, they are each wonderful, unique individuals getting ready to go out into the world and make amazing things happen! That’s why we are highlighting one of our amazing students every month.
This month we are featuring not one, but TWO of our awesome students: Brother-Sister team, Anthony & Gianna!
Anthony and Gianna are both confident and dedicated young musicians who have been a part of The Harmony Garden for nearly their entire lives. Anthony, now ten, and Gianna, now seven, both began their musical journeys in our Kindermusik classes when they were just tiny toddlers. They both started piano around the age of five, and have been rock n' rolling ever since! Anthony is full of enthusiasm, often heard exclaiming "I want to play it again!" and "can we learn something new today?" Gianna is always making us laugh, often inserting funny new words and sounds into her songs, and her favorite note is G because it is the first letter of her name.
Anthony:
What do you enjoy most about playing music?
I like the rhythm of it. And it sounds good if you play it right.
Do you have a favorite musical memory?
My favorite musical memory is when I played in my first recital.
What is your favorite song to play?
My favorite song is The Hand Bell Choir
What is a song you would like to learn to play?
"Alone" by Marshmello
Do you like playing piano with Gianna?
Yes, but we don't really play songs, we just mess around
What do you want to be when you grow up?
I'm not sure yet.

Gianna:
What do you enjoy most about playing music?
That I get to play lots of songs that are really pretty.
Do you have a favorite musical memory?
My first recital.
What is your favorite song to play?
Pet Dragon!
What is a song you would like to learn to play?
Dolphin Dreams (the next song in her book)
Do you like playing piano with Anthony?
Well, we try, but don't play together much because the keyboard isn't big enough!
If you could have a superpower, what would it be?
Telepathy.
What animal would you be, if you were not a human?
A pig.
What do you want to be when you grow up?
A Dolphin trainer, because I love dolphins and got to swim with them once.
