Student of the Month: Meet Claire

We love our students! They inspire us, they challenge us, they make us laugh and smile. But most importantly, they are each wonderful, unique individuals getting ready to go out into the world and make amazing things happen! That’s why we are highlighting one of our amazing students every month.

Meet this month’s featured student: Claire!

Claire began Wunderkeys piano lessons with Ms Marty just before her fourth birthday. Three years later, she is a note-reading powerhouse with lightning fingers and an incredible knack for sight-reading! With the help of her super supportive mom, Claire developed an unshakable practice routine from the start, and continues to practice at least five days a week. Claire's middle name could be Enthusiasm; she's always bounding into her piano lesson with exciting news about how practicing at home went that week or something fun she did in school.

What do you enjoy most about playing music?

I like how pretty it sounds!

Do you have a favorite musical memory?

One of my favorite days was when I fell off the piano bench, but it was funny and I laughed.

What is your favorite song to play?

Trumpet Voluntary

What is a song you would like to learn to play?

I want to learn to play "When Can I See You Again?" by Owl City.

If you could have a superpower, what would it be?

The ability to fly.

What animal would you be, if you were not a human?

A fox.

What do you want to be when you grow up?

An astronaut because I want to discover what is on the other side of a black hole.
