Dara

Dara teaches Voice

Ms. Dara has been a music lover her whole life, walking around as a child with new stage names for herself, and singing new tunes every chance she could get. Ms. Dara has played saxophone for 19 years and has had the wonderful opportunity to play at Carnegie Hall with the Arlington High School Wind Ensemble, as well as first chair saxophone at the Berklee College of Music’s Jazz festival, placing 2nd and 3rd with the Arlington High School Jazz Machine.

Ms. Dara has hopes of becoming a Broadway singer or recording artist in the future and has been studying vocal technique for 12 years with Kit Kassel and Denise Summerford. She has performed as a dancer at the Bardavon in Poughkeepsie, as well as appearing in shows at the Rhinebeck Center for Performing arts, The Colony in Woodstock, and even Washington Irving’s Estate in Sleepy Hollow.

When not teaching voice, Ms. Dara can be found cooking, listening to jazz music, or hanging out with friends and family
