Student of the Month: Gianina

We love our students! They inspire us, they challenge us, they make us laugh and smile. But most importantly, they are each wonderful, unique individuals getting ready to go out into the world and make amazing things happen! That’s why we are highlighting one of our amazing students every month.

Meet this month’s featured student: Gianina!

Gianina has been playing piano for just over two and a half years now. A frown cannot exist in her presence, and we can always count on her to bring loads of enthusiasm and an infectious smile to whatever she does. We are quite enamored by the notion that this future marine biologist may become the first ever to communicate with fish through song someday!

Q: What do you enjoy most about playing music? 

A: That I can learn the music, play it and sing it too

Q: Do you have a favorite musical memory?

A: The first time I tried the piano because I got to learn all of the stuff and try it out. And going to see The Nutcracker because I really like the music and dancing.

Q: What is your favorite song to play?

A: "Song for a Scarecrow," "My Pony," and "Boogie on Broadway" because they are really fun to play and easy to sing with them.

Q: What is a song you would like to learn to play?

A: "My Ex's Best Friend" by Machine Gun Kelly and Black Bear, as well as "I'm a Mess"

Q: If you could have a superpower, what would it be?

A: The ability to fly.

Q: What animal would you be, if you were not a human?

A: A wolf.

Q: What do you want to be when you grow up?

A: A marine biologist and singer because I really like ocean animals and because I think I'm a really good singer and I enjoy singing.
