Our private lesson students are on spring break from April 6-10, but that doesn’t mean the music will stop! Here are 5 activities we encourage you to do this week:
1. MUSICAL BINGO!
How many wacky practice challenges can your complete? Print off our Spring Break Musical BINGO board and color each box as you complete it! When you have completed every challenge, send a picture to your teacher and you’ll win a prize! Here’s the BINGO board:
2. HELP YOUR TEACHER’S TEAM WIN!
The TEACHERS are at war! The teacher whose students practice the most over break wins – and will reward his or her students, too. Keep track of your playing time over break. We will take an average for each teacher’s students to determine the winning team.
3. MAKE A MUSIC VIDEO
Choose your favorite song, practice it extra, and then have someone at home help you record a video of you playing it! Don’t worry if you make a mistake – just record it again! Will you dress up for your music video? Use a special background? Props? Special guests? Show it off to your teacher!
4. COMPOSE YOUR OWN SONG
Writing your own music is fun, and easier than you think! You can either just make up some sounds on your instrument that you like, or write it down. If you want to notate your song, we love the web-based app Flat.io. Give your song a name, or not. Make it long, or short. Add lyrics, or don’t. It’s your creation! Send it to your teacher to show it off!
5. COLORING CONTEST
We are having a coloring contest for when we are all back in the studio! Download the coloring sheets at the link below and color your favorites. Bring them when we are all back in the studio and we will stick them all over the walls for everyone to enjoy! (Everyone who colors gets a prize!)
6. KEEP IN TOUCH!
Did we mention we miss you all?
Please keep in touch, either by email, text, or in our private parent’s group:
We can’t wait to see everyone in person again – and have a great, big party!
